Lumpiang Shanghai (Spring Roll)


Lumpiang Shanghai is a spring roll means filled with ground or finely minced pork and served with sweet and sour sauce. Every Filipino knows the distinctive flavor of lumpiang shanghai. Hope you like my recipe. Enjoy!!!





Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground pork
1/2 cup shrimp finely mince
1 whole egg
4 cloves of garlic finely mince
1/2 cup onions finely mince
1/2 cup carrots finely mince
½ cup raisins
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
Oil for frying
½ tsp pepper
Spring roll wrapper

Preparation:

Mix all the ingredients in a sauce pan except oil. Wrap in a Lumpia wrapper, deep fry in hot oil until golden brown. Serve with sweet & sour sauce.

wew! this is a yummy Filipino food indeed :D but I think this is not an original Filipino food right? I think Spring Roll is originally a Chinese or Japanese food, i'm not sure :) anyway, it doesn't matter. this food is delicious.
